Ryan is an Oregon native who learned to fly fish for trout on small spring creeks in Central Oregon. He works as a project manager in the construction industry during the week and as a fly fishing and hunting guide on the weekends. He has had the opportunity to fly fish around the world but still finds himself preferring the solitude and technicality of fly fishing small water in Central Oregon. His enthusiasm for working with teens stems from years of coaching middle school basketball and football which has been incredibly fun and rewarding for him. With Ryan's passion for the outdoors paired with his coaching experience, he is excited to be able to share all that fly fishing has to offer to Oregon’s youth while serving as a Mayfly Project Mentor.
Needless to say I LOVE FLY FISHING
Living in central Oregon has given me the opportunity to fall in love with the sport.
My husband and I spend many hours on the river together.
Our family consists of three daughters and just recently I became a grandmother!
We moved here 20 years ago, upon doing so I opened my own salon and found were I belong.
Its a perfect place for us.
A lifelong Oregonian and fly fisher with great appreciation for the sport of fly fishing and the outdoor places where it is pursued. Fly fishing has been a wonderful tool in balancing the stress of a dangerous career in law enforcement. The way it can draw a person’s focus entirely to the present is great therapy and so it seems to be a perfect escape for children in foster care as well! Terry joined the Mayfly Project to give back to the sport and to help others share the rewards that he has received from it!
